One's own light can be elusive
Does a star see itself, or only darkness around it in the void of space? A star imploads with self compassion. Self fueling and self sustaining, while excess light shines forth warming the universe around It.

another short poem on life
life is what you Create it,
don't let anyone tell you different.
life is in your breath,
there are no rules.
we are all one, indeed,
yet we're separate entities.
our own free will,
creating intertwined paths.
Your eyes spoke an inquiry of my soul, but even as the sun was setting on that day I couldn't seem to find the courage or the proper way to say what came as instantaneous flashes in the dark stage of my mind. I was waiting for dawn to bear it's warmth and light, to start a new season, and to show me the simple truth. If I hadn't have waited, and known that it was the time to act, I might have dragged the illusive answer to my lips. I was searching for the justice, but I now know that there is no such thing in the dance of love. There will always be a dusk, as there will always be a dawn. Let's share a vision of today, and our resolve and aspirations will fill our reservoirs. Start a new world to live in tomorrow, better than yesterday. Remember today, and always change for a better and brighter new year. It can be more than just an idea, if we'd only act together.
Eyes brimming with hot fire and stomachs boiling with tumultuous acid, waiting to flow out and over. Soothed by forgiveness, a reminder that nothing's worth more pain and suffering. Why walk down a thorn laden path that has no roses?

do not break through the walls to truth,
leaving destruction in your midst.
just let all pretense go, release the pains
and let the walls crumble to the sands on the beach,
dissipating, revealing a horizon that shines through your being.
that's where truth will shine.
open your eyes and let it set you free.
close your eyes and let the wind cleanse your spirit;
open them again an you will no longer need to squint at truth.
it gets better. i hope your pride doesn't blind you from the words of others.
reality is fluid. as are most things. perhaps you can go from a half filled cup to a happy brook. humans aren't perfect, but we still teem through streams of civilization coexisting like a school of fish. school is in session, always in session. we can learn.
The morning dew had woken us up and i knew it was time to get up. The sounds of crickets and life all around us were hushing and commencing all at once and breakfast was on all our minds.
The trek had taken us this far, as what started as a voyage to the beautiful horizon promising new things. After a few years we wondered if what we were doing was even a plausible journey as it seemed the further we went the more unnerved a few got at the fall of dusk.
Time flowed steadily through this day.
Albert tossed me a bread roll and asked if i wanted some milk. i said no which was followed by an immediate "are you sure?" i was positive. even thoug
